I am about to cry today with all of this news of gay youth ending their lives. No one should ever, EVER, be persecuted for who they are. No one should ever be alone, misunderstood, and afraid enough in this world to even think about leaving it. it is a beautiful place and everyone should have someone reminding them of that every single day. You have no other purpose in this world but to protect those you love.
Not just an Eggo or whatever, but a giant Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream - maybe ice cream, too. Pancakes with fresh strawberries would do in a pinch, I suppose.
The problem is that I’m not supposed to be eating crap right now. I exercised for 2 hours today and had un-crappy things to eat. Do I really want to ruin it with a Belgian waffle or pancakes? I’d even take French toast right now. I mean basically I want carbs with fruity carbs and dairy carbs on top. I will take that in any combination. Ugh I hate complaining about dieting or whatever, because I’m not dieting or trying to be a size 2. I’m just trying to make better choices for myself, and to get back into running because I used to enjoy it. Even though that was about 100 years ago. Much like my desire for pancakes, this post has absolutely no nutritional value.
As usual, Comcast totally fucking screwed me over (again) tonight.
Why do I try to talk on the internet past 2am anymore? I called them and was on the phone with them for an hour. I killed my fucking battery complaining to Comcast tech support about why their service gotta blow so hard. So they’re going to come out (again) and look at my cables tomorrow. Then they’re going to climb the pole and say it’s fixed, and tomorrow night I will not have internet again.
I want to switch to VZN, but they’re not any better (I have heard from my neighbors), and they rope you into a contract. Also last time I asked for someone to come out and talk to me about it, they never showed up. And let’s not forget the first time they came out, when they thought my dog was the man of the house. Yeah. Not bright.
TL;DR, something has to be done. This is making me incredibly sad. =/ The hours between 12-5am are arguably my favorite, and they’re being taken away by a shitty cable conglomerate.
“It used to be that ghetto girls would take out their earrings and pull off their fake nails before a fight. Now it’s like ‘Lemme take out my earrings, pull off my fake nails, and SOMEBODY HOLD MY BABY.’ Why do they all have babies now?”—Ween, pondering yet another ghetto fistfight in the mall
I have Frank Iero’s phone number - or what used to be his number, idk if it’s still the same. It transferred over from my old BlackBerry, and today I deleted it. Then I thought about how I should have put it on chemicalromance. Shit.
Denver, CO – Illegal Pete’s restaurants are trying to make the road a little more enjoyable for touring bands with the launch of it’s “Starving Artists” program. The program offers free food to bands on tour in hopes that the bands tell their friend’s and fans worldwide about their experiences at Illegal Pete’s.
The restaurant, which has four locations in the Denver Metro Area and two in Boulder, launched the program as a way to get like minded people into their restaurants and create a community atmosphere for musicians and fans alike.
Spearheading the program is Virgil Dickerson, CEO of Suburban Home Records, and Andy Thomas, a local musician and music journalist.
“Both Virgil and I have toured with bands over the years and we realize how tying it can be sometimes,” Thomas said of the program. “We just want to help out those bands on tour by giving them a good meal, a place to hang out and, if they feel like it, a place to party afterwards.”
People interested in Illegel Pete’s Starving Arists Program are being urged to contact either Virgil or Andy by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you know of a band coming through Denver, make sure they get in touch.
Was just about to post this! Best idea ever. Illegal Pete’s makes my favorite burrito outside of San Diego. I always look forward to being in Denver on tour so I can make a stop there.
We’ve been to Illegal Pete’s almost EVERY SINGLE time we’ve EVER been to Denver. There’s a Swellers sticker from our FIRST TOUR EVER inside the Denver location by the silverware/sauce section.
Hands down our favorite burritos in the country AND Virgil/Andy are my buddies! All of this made me very happy. to read. Burritos and good people. Life.
It's true that when you cook with love, it's always awesome
We’re having a picnic at the lake tonight. I was in charge of the cooking, and everything came out so good! I made mushroom and rice soup, garlic cheese biscuits, squash custard, and roasted herbed corn. Plus we have MOONCAKES! and I can’t wait to eat them.
I also accidentally nailed the hot ginger tea that my favorite Thai place makes. The secret (in addition to honey and baking soda) is adding powdered Chinese ginger in the water. I’m so stoked right now that I have to yell at myself not to drink the whole pitcher. Greedy-ass mofo.
Happy Moon Festival, everyone. Even if you don’t worship the moon like they did in ancient China, it is still a kickass holiday. I only wish all my friends could be with us tonight. <3 You’re all there in spirit, though. Don’t worry.
I'm saying it. I like MCR's new song. Ain't no shame.
My reasons for no longer liking the band are long and complex and personal (dramatic), but this song would be fun to drive to. Also I’m happy for all the fans who’ve been waiting since ‘06 for new music. <3
The internet needs an IQ AND age restriction. And since when is talking to someone in a band a fucking crime? THEY ARE NORMAL FUCKING PEOPLE! NEWS FLASH, YOU DONT HAVE TO BE SPECIAL TO TALK TO THEM. STOP BEING A RAGING JEALOUS BITCH AND BE QUIET.
